The main focus of UNCTAD 's activities is the developmental and market-access impact of voluntary sustainability standards and related pro-active adjustment strategies in developing countries. UNCTAD runs a Consultative Task Force (CTF) on Environmental Requirements and Market Access for Developing Countries and the International Task Force (ITF) on Harmonization and Equivalence in Organic Agriculture (in collaboration with FAO and IFOAM). In co-operation with IISD and AidEnvironment, UNCTAD implements the Sustainable Commodity Initative. It also conducts some standard-related activities as part of the UNEP- UNCTAD Capacity-building Task Force (CBTF) on Trade, Environment and Development.
