IFC Begins the Review and Update of Its Sustainability Framework
IFC has started the process to review and update the Policy and Performance Standards on Social and Environmental Sustainability and the Policy on Disclosure of Information (sustainability framework).
On September 8, IFC launched the review and update process of the sustainability framework. The IFC will seek stakeholders' inputs on clarity of language, implementation effectiveness, and gaps in the current coverage. The process is expected to last until December 2010 and the updated framework to be released by January 2011.
