World Bank and TRAPCA give Training Course on Standards and Agricultural Trade
2-6 August 2010 Arusha, Tanzania
This 5-day course, jointly organized by the World Bank Institute (WBI), and the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (trapca) fleshes out the key issues related to agri-food trade that are of special interest to decision-makers in Sub-Saharan Africa and discusses the strategic agricultural trade issues associated with food security and poverty reduction which are increasingly gaining interest in the region. The course puts a particular emphasis on the issue of standards, which has gained prominence in global food and agricultural trade for the past decades, especially in issues related to Sanitary and Phytosanitary ( SPS ) standards.
