ITC’s World Directory on Standards 2009
ITC publishes the World Directory of Information Sources on Standards, Conformity Assessment, Accreditation, Metrology, Technical Regulations, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures
One of the latest publications of the International Trade Centre is the trilingual directory of standard related organizations. The updated 2009 edition is especially interesting for trade support institutions and exporters. It encompasses detailed contact information for national standards bodies, metrology institutes and organizations, quality associations and accreditation bodies. It is available in English, French and Spanish
On 152 pages, the directory lists organizations which deal with standards, technical regulations, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, conformity assessment, accreditation and metrology. Organizations from around the world are listed by country, with detailed contact information and internet addresses. The directory also indicates whether the organization is a member of a regional or international organization, includes enquiry points relevant to WTO Agreements on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) and Sanitary and Phytosanitary ( SPS ) Measures, and provides contact points for specialized organizations in related areas.
