Workshop: Assessing the Costs and Benefits of Prevention versus Control of SPS- related issues, October 2009.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Dear TSPN Members,

The Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) is planning to give a Workshop on "Assessing the Costs and Benefits of Prevention versus Control of SPS- related issues" in October 2009.

One of the outcomes of the workshop will be an increased understanding of how different analysis methodologies (cost- benefit analysis, cost effectiveness analysis, multi- criteria decision analysis) could be used more widely to increase awareness about the potential benefits of SPS capacity building.

The TSPN is thinking about options how to contribute to this workshop by letting its experiences flow into the preparation.

Therefore we request all of you to send your comments and suggestions on the draft concept paper, which you can find following this link: Workshop STDF [pdf, 180 KB]

We are looking forward to receiving your ideas.

Many Thanks!

The TSPN Secretariat
