TSPN Member Activities

A Common Ground for the TSPN: The Draft Network Charter

TSPN Steering Committee developed the Draft Charter for the Network. Members are encouraged to review and comment by July 31, 2009. Read more

The Starting Point of Our Journey : TSPN Planning Workshop 2009

On March 9 -10, 2009 the TSPN Steering Committee and Secretariat met to revise the objectives of the TSPN and outline the strategic direction of the Network for 2009. The work planning session concluded with the establishment of three Working Groups which all TSPN members are encouraged to join. Read more

Call for Proposals for New Steering Committee Members

Per the TSPN Draft Charter the Steering Committee (SC) agreed at the last planning workshop to accept nominations of developing country representatives to join the SC. New SC members will share the same responsibilities of current SC members. Nominations should be made directly to the TSPN Secretariat. Read more

The TSPN homepage presents latest news concerning member activities and information about relevant sectors. Members are invited to submit content to the TSPN Secretariat for posting on the homepage. Read more

In Other Headlines

TSPN Secretariat Names Coordinator

The TSPN Secretariat, hosted at the GTZ headquarters in Eschborn, Germany is finally complete with the addition of the TSPN Coordinator Ingrid Mueller-Neuhof. Ingrid came on board in mid-May and she will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the TSPN work plan and managing the TSPN. Read more

TSPN Conference and Member Meeting: “Assessing Costs, Benefits and Impacts of Compliance with Forestry, Agriculture and Food related Standards”

On Dec 9-10, 2008 an international conference on "Assessing Costs, Benefits and Impacts of Compliance with Agriculture, Forestry and Food related Standards" took place in Berlin. Over the course of two days participants from bi- and multilateral organisations, standards setting bodies, technical implementation groups and research institutions shared their experiences on assessing the costs, benefits, and impacts of compliance with various standards. TSPN to contribute to upcoming Standards and Trade Development Facility Workshop

Following up the Conference on “Assessing Costs, Benefits and Impacts of Compliance with Agriculture, Forestry and Food related Standards” a collaboration was envisaged between the TSPN and the Standards and Trade Development Facility. The first formal collaboration will be to feed the results of TSPN's Impact Assessments Conference into STDF's planned Workshop on Cost Benefit Analysis of SPS related Capacity Building for October 2009.
