Building capacity for social and ethical research and education in agrifood nanotechnology.

This four-year project was completed by August 2008. It was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and addressed the social and ethical dimensions of various nanotechnology applications throughout the agrifood sector. Special emphasis was placed on the development of nanotechnology standards and their integration within and modification of pre-existing agrifood standards regimes. Additional project activities included the development of topically-related conferences, workshops, educational and outreach materials.
