Development of National Forest Standards in Bosnia Herzegovina
Component 2 of the Forest Development and Conservation Project will facilitate the implementation of economically and environmentally-sound forest management at the level of Forest Management Units in both entities. It will set up technical instruments that are critical to ensure monitoring and sustainable use of Bosnia Herzegovina’s forest endowment. The component will also help Bosnia Herzegovina to develop National Standards that would be the basis for sustainable forest management and Forest Certification. These standards will be applicable for the whole country and should take into account the total value of all forest functions.
